The Jersey Shore

Hi Friends,

In this edition of The Travel Dispatch, Solferino is taking you to some popular weekend beach destinations for the Memorial Day Weekend. This week we’re at the Jersey Shore - lets dive in.

Having spent countless summers basking on the Jersey Shore's sandy beaches as a child, it holds a special place in my heart. Often portrayed in pop culture as a homogenous stretch of coastline, the Jersey Shore's true charm lies in its remarkable diversity. From the revitalized energy of Asbury Park, a haven for art lovers with its renowned music scene and eclectic shops, to the sophisticated offerings of Red Bank, the "crown jewel" of the northern shore, with its upscale shopping and trendy dining scene, the region caters to a variety of tastes.

Those wanting a classic Jersey Shore experience won't be disappointed. Spring Lake offers a tranquil escape with its pristine beach and charming downtown. Bradley Beach provides a haven for relaxation, with easy access to the excitement of Asbury Park or the charming bustle of Belmar, ideal for those who crave both tranquility and a touch of action.

Beyond the diverse experiences, the Jersey Shore boasts some truly spectacular stretches of coastline. Pristine sands and sparkling waters are a constant, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC, with major access routes making the trip a breeze. Often overlooked for the Hamptons, or New England beaches, NJ’s accessibility coupled with the variety of experiences on offer, makes the Jersey Shore a worthy contender. Whether you seek a vibrant artistic scene, sophisticated shopping, classic family fun, or simply a chance to unwind on a beautiful beach, the Jersey Shore has something for everyone.

I can't cover every beach and hamlet – that's what the Solferino Itinerary & Guidebook is for – I'm thrilled to share some of my personal highlights, including favorite sights, culinary delights, and shopping gems. Be sure to subscribe to The Travel Dispatch for our bi-weekly newsletter, keeping you up to date on all our latest adventures!

Enjoy,
